Patrick & tiltjlp present a 48 year old pachinko with a few modern twists. Old style pachinkos have a hole to manually load the balls in the blue square. Then it plays with a manual launcher.
On new style pachinkos, the player loads the balls into the machine and then an adjustable auto-launcher fires them.
For added fun, the VP version offers both options.

The goal of the Special Version is to play with a REAL Bally Malibu beach playfield.
All the holes must have a switch and each of them are connected to an IPAC or similar.
Only the backglass is displayed because a true playfield is used to play.

Who would have thought a flipperless machine is actually harder than a flippered machine? This has been the hardest reproduction I’ve made. I reckon it is due to the fact that what is being simulated is mechanical rather than electronic and that’s more difficult to animate.
