It was just too hard to spawn sometimes on higher levels when pterodactyls were in the way so I had to fix that. Now if you are dismounted while pterodactyls are about, they will leave the screen and not come back until after you have spawned.

Sorry to the folks that downloaded it before this.
I don't plan on releasing any more versions unless there are serious problems.

That last remark was not to say that I am no longer working on this, though that is how it reads. It just means I am not scrambling to get a stable fully playable update released. The next release will have the things listed under 1.4 and I hope everything listed under To do yet. The things under 1.4 are in and working.

1.4
- Highscore entry now has it's own screen with correct sound effect.
- Waves wait to advance until the pterodactyls have left the screen.
- Buzzards flap wings faster when they are going up, and slower when going down.


To do yet
- Make the riderless buzzards walk on platforms when low above them.
- See about making an even safer spawn by making buzzards avoid the area or by finding out the emptiest area. Then I can make skill level 3 have even faster buzzards and pterodactyls.
- Fix the little that is left wrong with the egg physics.
- Further tweaks to buzzard patterns.
- Make the players feet stay at platform top while they shake before the crumble. This will make a bird standing on it shake as well.
- Smooth graphics to higher resolution. A single pixel is a 4 pixel square, so basically a double of the graphics resolution, smoothing the edges and dithering the inside.
- Optimize code where possible.

I don't use a tablet. I actually don't play many games at all. Nor am I a software developer. I just do this as a hobby and an attempt to keep my mind sharp. You are right though, if I was selling games they would be portable.

Tell ya what, if you could do some originals that could turn into an app, you could potentially do real well. Seems everyone's into apps. (Well almost everyone).

Here is a list of all changes. Version 1.4 should be done in a couple of days.

1.4
- Highscore entry now has it's own screen with correct sound effect.
- Waves wait to advance until the pterodactyls have left the screen.
- Buzzards continue to leave the screen between waves.
- Buzzards flap wings faster when they are going up, and slower when going down.
- Mode results timing corrected.
- Buzzards that pick up knights walk as well as fly.
- Buzzards that pick up knights accelerate as they walk.
- Flying buzzards accelerate to speed when spawned and when turning.
- Players that are standing or running on shaking platforms will move with them, keeping their feet on them.
- Starting Level Select (1-60 no high-score save if used.)

- Players will not spawn on the same platform at the same time as the other.
- Eggs hatch into Knights and gets picked up by buzzards.
- Eggs wrap screen correctly.
- Eggs tumble as they fall.
- Eggs hatch faster on higher levels.
- Fixed a bug that would cause pterodactyl to not show.
- Fixed a fatal collision bug.
- Fixed a couple of mode bugs.
- Other bugs fixed.
- Buzzards walking on platforms positioned correctly.

- Pterodactyl now flys with mouth closed and strikes with it open, speeding up and screeching.

- Letters in high score entry increased to 3 to 6.

- Re-commanded movement keys so that they are maintained while changing levels.

- Where there's fire, there's smoke.

Joust 1.4

- Buzzards continue to leave the screen between waves.
- Buzzards flap wings faster when they are going up, and slower when going down.
- Buzzards will struggle to escape troll. Shadow Lords most likely will, Bounders most likely will fail, and Hunters will likely be locked in a struggle for some time.
- Buzzards that pick up knights walk as well as fly.
- Buzzards accelerate as they walk.
- Buzzards accelerate to speed when spawned and when turning.
- Players that are standing or running on shaking platforms will move with them.
- Select starting level (no high-score saved if used).
- Egg physics improved.
- Egg hatch timing refined. The time it takes an egg to hatch ranges from 8 to 33 seconds on level one to near instant on levels above 59.
- Full Screen Stretch added to the F4 toggle.
- Added backspace to high score name entry. Select < and press flap.
