Well, do you want to become VPF2?

Seriously, a little swearing isn't what keeps people away from this site.....

That would be a good first step. Then, what? a retroactive ruling, and BAM there it is.

I think it would be much better if we tried to make each other happy, then who would swear?, cuss, if you will, about what?

I do think, Fuck, I should just edit the post I have over and over so I don't get called a spammer, that the things I refrain from saying should surly be regulated.

All joking aside here. yes you should allow swearing, but you should allow people to not swear too.

It's a slippery slope and I voted against it, what about....

"kiss my ass" is that swearing or "Good God, No!" ?

What's next religion?

Agreed. However if members wanted to select words for a word filter, or to have against the rules, then that would be fine I think. Besides it might be fun, listing words for inclusion. Dirty words don't hurt though, hurtful words do and you don't have to cuss to advance those.

If you voted against it, meaning NO, then you voted for NO swearing? Is this what you meant to say or did you fuck up?

Religion or bible threads totally suck and are the biggest waste of time in the universe. Politics are the next biggest waste of time threads in the universe and Shocky's "What'd I do?" threads are the third biggest waste of time. :)

bob, bob my knob. My friend Steve did not 'Fuck up' swearing is allowed here. The poll is an attempt, or at least a question about change. So a vote against is a vote against, a yes vote. So Steve already told you that he voted yes, I read it, he said he voted against that change.

You did vote yes didn't you 'Oz?

Yes Shockman, I vote that swearing should be allowed, for the most part it's meaningless, we already have a rule in place to cover it's abuse.

1. No spam, porn or hacking. Repetitive hostile comments won't be tolerated.
Of course if the admin here recieves no complaint, for the most part we will assume that noone is finding themselves to be subject to any repetitive hostile comments.

I think he fucked up. The poll question was "Should we allow swearing?" and if he voted against it, he voted for no swearing. I think he just fucked up in his post about voting against it, it's all schematics. BTW, I could curse all day and never break that rule.

A lot of the dirty four letter words could be labeled porn I guess. In a work enviroment they are. This sucks, though, your mom might have said that. How many times is Repetitive any way? To me that says hositle comments are allowed, as well as repetive ones, but not ones that are both in one. What exactly is spam? Is that to post too much? or just to stay on one topic too long? Every thing I know about online conversation I learned from forums dealing with pinball, real or visual.

What I think should not be allowed besides words that the entire membership gets to vote on would be labels for races and that kind of talk, I would never even agree to list one for inclusion, it just won't come out.

If it's because I cuss, and I believe that is the case, well a rule would do it, but that not the only thing that would. I did not while tiltjlp was admin. and I agreed to him not to. and I would make the same agreement to StevOz if he showed me the same kindness that John did. He continues to move all my stuff into the junkyard though, while letting anyone else say anything they want about me, then he can say it in the junkyard anyway. And he was the first one to make a poll to drum up anti- support for me. Mine was just jokes however, I knew how they would go. I also hold the fact that he is also a staffer at VPF against him, but I think that is fair.

Yes bob I think I did screw that one up a bit, still I do think I've corrected that with my little follow up post.

schematics LOL
You might be right. Steve as an admin. you can take one no vote and change it to a yes vote. You just had a hanging chad, recount with intent in mind.
