Hi there

I think it is ok that i put my list of links to some softwares here, because it is the section software here.

I suggest mostly softwares that are for Windows XP, just in case if there is peoples that still have there old WinXP for there FP software. Of course you can get and download more recent softwares if it fit your operating system. Now here is my list of softwares that is free.......

Softimage XSI Mod Tool version 6.01
It's a free software to create 3d models, it might come handy for creating 3d models. Note that i notice that the software ask to access the firewall, you can refuse that it access. Here is the link:
https://www.moddb.com/downloads/xsi-mod-tool-601 (XSI Mod Tool 6.01 file)

Also there is an other modeling software. I suggest "BforArtists version 1", because on Pinsimdb it have an addon that can make possible to export ms3d files for FP. So here is the link to the BforArtists v1 free file:

Here is the link to the Milkshape3d addon that can use BforArtists v1 is at:
http://www.pinsimdb.org/pinres/entry-213-ms3d_blender_-_importer_exporter ([PinSimDB.org])

There is the software called Audacity 2.1.3, it is a software to edit audio files. I know that it is an old version, but it's because with it you can also create dolby surround audio files. You can have it at:

Yeah, some good stuff there. At first I was thinking about moving it to the general software area, but all this stuff is directly useful for FP / pin-sim stuff, right?

There is the software Gimp v2.8.22 that is like Adobe Photoshop.
My problem with GIMP is that it's laid out so differently from PhotoShop, and now there's 3-4x as many options & tools compared to what I remember from twenty years ago.

The other day I tried to follow a couple GIMP tutorials, wound up installing a commonly recommended plugin, struggled to get it working, finally did, and than realised that it does something similar to what I want, but NOT quite the same thing.

Wasted a few hours on all that and felt like throwing my computer out the window at the end. :s

Yes Gimp is hard to understand. I have Adobe Creative Suit CS2 Premium, that long time ago i asked a guy to buy it for me; because i dont like web payments. But i have "suggested" this Gimp version for peoples that have WinXP, i do think it that it is the latest release compatible with this WinXP operating system. I know other free softwares as OpenOffice, LibreOffice, Scribus, Notepad++, etc. But would not mention many free softwares here, by respect that this website is about mostly Futurepinball; that's why i have listed softwares that i think are FP related.

But if there would be a section titled as "Other Softwares" i think then i could post other free softwares for the peoples in that section.

When i find and search for free software that i suggest for peoples, i do expect that there are free (with no limits) like days of use, functionnality limits; and can be used for personnal or/and commercial purpose. Not like website that list softwares that say are free to download, but that they have some limitations. I do think and believe that the list i have previously mentionned are free softwares with no limits.

Who's using WinXP these days? AFAIK that's actually pretty risky if you're hitting the web.

Well, we have too many damn subforums here, but there is in fact a software forum. You can make other (non-FP) lists if you like and place them here:

Yeap, it's usually best to stick with open-source.

Bonus points, because people can even mod the software to best fit their needs.

Thank's for putting the link to the section for other softwares. I might have other suggestions of free softwares. When i say free i expect that mostly there are open source, legal, no limitations, no trial, no time limit to use. Well i guess that you understand what i mean. A+
