NASA and the Smithsonian have some cool web sites for the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11.

This one is very cool, recreating the flight in real time, replaying all the audio between the ground and the ship:

This is great, but right now it is still in 'live-mode'.

After the 20th it will be better because then you can watch the entire thing from start to end 'at your own pace',...

You just have to pick the right time to watch/listen, just like now with the shuttle missions on NASA TV.

I was only 5 when this happened live, have very little memory of it. But my dad had his reel to reel recorder running next to the TV, I would listen to those tapes every once in a while when I was a little older. There's just something so cool about listening to it in real time now.
