OK I got this computer for free because my better one fried...specs - 1.35ghz CPU, SiS Generic 32MB Video Card and 735MB of ram...it doesn't matter what version of VP9 I try or what hardware settings I tinker with I always get the "Can't load off screen surface error".
So I figure it's probably the video card - don't even think it's DX9 compliant and doesn't have T&L.
Any suggestions or tips...sucks getting left out of the newer scene! :) (I can run all other versions of VP though) EDIT - OK so VP9 is hardware dependent now...tried the software mode and everything was all pixelated...
So here's the big question what are the specs for VP9? Dual-core and a 256 meg card good enough or do you need more than that? How about system ram? Any tips, because on my computer that died I had a 128MB ATI card and still had problems...and does it matter for VP9 if the card is integrated? Thanks for any help! :)
