can dwight howard overcome the celtics three future hall-of-famers? (actually only two since kevin garnett is probably out for the playoffs)

houston rockets (5th seed) vs. los angeles lakers (1st seed)-
can yao ming tower over the unstoppable kobe bryant and phil jackson?


- betting ends before game one of each series starts, therefore the latest that you can still bet is this tuesday night (may 5th).
- total money bet gets shared out among those who picked the winning team, and those who bet more money get a bigger share in the winnings.
- higher seeds get the homecourt advantage.

cool, jon.
i was in cleveland once for a cavs-bulls game. mark price, hotrod williams, brad dougherty are some names i remember. and i think it was the only time i ever saw jordan live.

so i'm glad that i'll be able to say that in my old age, although honestly unless lejames gets injured badly, i don't see any way that he won't take over the 'greatest player ever' mantle from jordan. dude is only 24 and is already the best player in basketball (just won the season MVP) and is headed towards winning a championship. it's scary stuff that he's accomplished all this so young, like a gretzky or tiger woods.

denver-dallas:
the NBA admits that the refs blew one game in the series which should have gone to dallas, which would have made the count 3-2, nuggets. still, the game was officially counted the other way, meaning the series is now over with denver winning, 4-1. the nuggets are looking extremely lethal at this point (watch out, lakers).


cleveland-atlanta:
lebron and crew totally dominate the hawks, 4-0. cavaliers looking very much like the favorites to win the whole enchilada right now.


boston-orlando:
deadlocked 3-3 with the action heading back to the celtics' court. a very tense series for the world champions with one game to decide it all on sunday, 7PM EST .


los angeles-houston:
in easily the biggest surprise of the playoffs thus far, houston, who was already without tracy mcgrady, lost their franchise center, yao ming, yet has still managed to tie this series at 3-3. so as we say in middle earth, one game to rule them all and in the darkness bind them... taking place at the lakers court on sunday, 9:30 PM EST.
