okay jon, let me ask you a question. we just patched things up about a week ago after having a messy argument a couple months ago. we both apologised and it sounded like we we're ready to move on. so then, why do you decide to grandstand like this instead of using a PM or asking to change your title in the "message to/from staff" section? i mean honestly, are you bored and you just like the drama or what?

please explain.

I've been curious myself at the name change.

I know Ike Savage is a private detective in a couple of detective stories, but don't see the connection.
And I'd hate to think you are calling yourself a private dick, but I'm on pain killers what do I know?

i was sort of hoping nobody would mention this until jon came clean, but yeah, anybody is free to change their name at VPF. why jon assumed otherwise and why he tried to make an issue out of this are things i'd still like to know...

as for why i changed my name at VPF- it was out of sheer boredom. plus i like to make up absurd names and absurd prose. one day maybe i'll be able to combine my art with absurdist storytelling into some kind of book form.

as for why "ike savage" particularly- it sounds like a cheesy and preposterous name to me. when i first made it up i was laughing my posterior off at how ridiculous it sounded- like something out of bad 50's pulp fiction. if it wouldn't be so confusing i would prolly change my name every month to stupid names that amused me. because "ike savage" already sounds dull and played-out i'm afraid...

Didn't loads of peeps do that once in VPFF - didn't know anyone after they'd changed (or is my advancing age playing tricks with me again and it was VPF - certainly was a long time ago)

I was told that I could not have a name change there. I was told nobody would, or even could. I always thought it was a nother lie and am not the least bit surpirsed to see that Ike.B or nicolas.savage, or what ever he now has did it.

The guidlines certainly do say that that one thing can not be changed.

However, having said that. If I was nicolas.b, I would change my name, if I let myself live long enough, but I would probably just end it.

He is a liar. But he is nicolas.b. Ike Savage can not save him.

About when you said you would reinstate me after my voluntary R/O that lio said I could have lifted at any time. You told the membership that I agreed to a 6 month probation, when in reality you said you would reinstate my posting rights if I promised to not get into ANY trouble, and I said forget it, that I could get another to give posting back to me and you did it then instead. I spend alot of my waking hours in the hospital with my son. I spend most of my sleeping hours awake.
