Chicago Coin's Pirate Gold - Early WIP

Hi All

I am currently doing Pirate Gold made by Chicago Coin in 1969.

MrHide has a nice hi res pic of the playfield and the backglass so I'm using them for this project (thanks MrHide ).

The pic took a lot of straightening and still bulges just a touch in the middle but I think it is acceptable now, this seems to be the best I can do with it. Being a hi res pic means that any problems are hidden a bit when it is reduced to VP resolution.

This is an early WIP and I've only just started to put the playfield objects on the table and haven't cleaned up the surface of the table or made an image for the plastics - they are out at the moment as the original pic is not from directly above and I correct that after putting all the objects on the table. The only objects on the table are the flippers, right sling, the left sling only has a plastic (not aligned with the pic as yet). The table surrounds are also done.

There was also a reflection from the flash on the right of the apron so that has been redrawn from scratch. This game displays the ball in play and game over on the right of the apron and I'll be using reels for those which should look good.

Anyway, this one will probably take a while as I have a lot on at the moment so I thought I'd post an early WIP - the next will probably be when I've got all the table objects on the table and realigned the image for the plastics.

Something to look forward to but not in a hurry I'm afraid!

Very nice start, especially given the source matrials I've seen. Thanks to you I can scratch another one that I'd probably never get off my projects list.

With forchia's help, it should be ready for release sometime this week. It's not an easy table, but it should be a lot of fun, especially if you land in the Alley Opp/Starter hole with balls in the trapeze sections. That's the key to higher scores.
