Users can change or choose their Thread Types, Forum and Thread Types added with the latest software update.
The following types of threads can be created by Users in General Discussion forums (default) which are almost every forum, Existing threads created by Users, you can now change your thread type in the more options drop down menu for your thread, see images.
New Threads image:
Existing Threads images, go to the drop down like in the 1st image for your thread and select Change thread type:
Here are some samples of the types, while looking at these samples you can see different filtering, sorting options and layouts for forums and threads.
The options are different for the various forum and thread types.
User voting up or down for the posts in threads could be helpful (down can be disabled), solutions can be marked by thread starters or moderators.
