The news just keeps breaking my heart, I've been in 49 of US's states, New Orleans was my favorite city....
I tried to visit for every annual Jazz Fest and the people there are the friendliest I've ever met as a visitor, in any city! I feel bad for the rest of the Gulf Coast..
They need to evacuate the City and provide long term housing (years!) for folks that are homeless...
I don't believe that New Orleans should be rebuilt, changes have to be made, everybody knew this was going to happen someday and if they don't relocate the city or let the Mississippi River flow the way it used to, it will happen again. The levees were a pretty impressive sight for me but engineers knew this was going to happen..., someday.
Cemeteries are above ground there for a reason and bodies are floating.
