Need better images?

First shiva offered his services to lighten, brighten, and improve other author's less than perfect images. So I wondered if maybe we should start a new forum for Big Blue's service. Shockman suggested that such a forum should be established so that any of our Graphic Artists could volunteer their services, and so this new forum has spung to life.

How images will be submitted is still being decided; possible PM attachments is the best method, maybe not. I guess that should be up to the volunteers to decide. Anyway, start gathering up your images that need some Tender Loviong Attention and we should have the submission method worked out shortly. I'll update this post with a list of volunteers, and possibly their specialties, so anyone willing to offer their services should send me a PM and I'll add their names to our list.

Please understand that these authors are offering their services to anyone, but may not have a ton of time, so don't expect instant results. Each volunteer has the right to refuse any request for whatever reason. If you can do the work yourself, then by all means do it yourself.

What's flattening and retouching? Does PhotoShop do that?

This is a great idea. It would also work for requests. People can post a pic and ask 'can this be fixed up?' And we can say I don't think so, I can't, ask shiva. Or no surly not, or yes it could, easy or it could, but it would cost you, etc.

Great idea, and I like shiva's point in another thread, that most of this should be done in the open. Most of us have always been willing to share our time and resources, so why stop now.
