You're welcome, and if you need help working out the table or scripting, feel free to ask here and over there too.

The Visual Pinball help file contains all of the standard Objects (Walls, Bumpers, etc.) and their scripting Methods though it doesn't teach how to create scripts in VBScripting, and at the same time most of the VBScripting Methods are not usable in Visual Pinball, so be forewarned. There are workarounds for most of the things you might want to do with a pinball table.

yes that OTHER site does indeed have online tutorials! the people who frequent both sites are few and far between, but I can assure you that most of the ones on this site (and the other one too) DON'T like the other site and BOTH sites generally ignore each other. Sad, being as they both are for pin freaks, but such is life. that being said BOTH here and vpforums.org have good tutorials and if you can't find something here or the other site then post and we'll do our best to help ya'
For starters, go into a few of the simpler tables look at how different things work (slings on the 'new' default table that starts when you click on 'new' in the editor. look at the script, play around with sounds, points things like that try importing your own stuff into the new pin, play with the bumper settings. then try something tougher. playing all the different pins is one of the best ways to learn, then you can go into each one and see how its coded and how it really works.
Good luck and most of all if you find yourself getting frustrated at coding or designing a pin , just kick back open a table and play!!

I don't ignore anyone intentionally. I like and love and visit both sites! Not every day, but continuously.

how quickly we forget. and what of their name? You can't tell me THAT hasn't rubbed some the wrong way, but I am not gonna open that can of worms again, but I peruse both sites to see new developments that somehow never seems to get to the other site either from here to there OR visa versa. So to get the best of everything visit a few different sites. there is also Pinball Originals, but their site is SLOW, good but oh so slow! then there is IDPB where you can either access the roms (you can also get them here), manuals, pics of the real machines, some history on them too for some of them. there is also IRpinball, but I am not sure if that site is still up and running. some table authors have their own sites as well,(scapino, JP, Tii) that also have pins on them. good luck with your endeavors...

I doubt anything has been forgotten, there's just no point arguing about it any more, pretty much all been said.

Not sure of the history but IRpinball let their zdnet domain expire, and then reopened as irpinball.org, don't use .com, it's one of those directed search things that make you think it's a pinball site.

that's right I forgot use ORG not com for irpinball! I don't go there much so forgot the ext. not to stir up the waters but it seems that our two sysops have settled their differences I won't go as far to say their kissy-kissy (EEW) but Noah and Phoenix are on speaking terms!! Woohoo, maybe now we all can play together as we SHOULD. Being fellow pinheads (and we are rare) there's strength in numbers (you know united we stand divided we fall?)
Thanks you two for seeing past your own noses and thinking not only of yourselves but the community as a whole! I am not saying that the two of you DON't work your asses off on your respective sites, but now that you two are talking again (civily) maybe you two can pool your knowledge and resources and have ONE really great install package with BOTH of you getting the credit, I understand that both installers are a bitch to code, and both of you lost sleep over them, but to have just one would ease the fears of anyone new coming onto BOTH sites and getting confused because of TWO very different installation packages.
Anyhow thanks for playing nice together...
