No Ball / No Credit

First off I'd like to explain that I used Phoenix's previous tutorial for installing VIP properly.
I have Alien Poker - vpt
and in the roms folder there are both alpok_l2 and alpok_l6. ( zipped of course )

According to what everyone, including the Read Me file, I should be able to play this table now. But that is not the case.

Everything loads up as expected and I can see the table fine. I initially pulled up the keyboard commands so I could figure out how to play. Now, I can pull the ball spring ( which is unloaded ) and I can nudge the crap out of the table...but the flippers do not move when I hit the shift keys and when I hit the number keys I don't hear any coin sound nor do I have any indication on the table that I have a credit ( I'd assume that a ball would drop onto the spring ).

So I'm a bit frustrated at this point, but before I say screw it and delete the program I thought I'd ask this forum for some help since reading previous posts got me this far.

Any additional info needed, let me know and I'll try to elaborate.

Wow...I feel like an idiot. I figured it out not 2 minutes after posting this thread.
Apparently it isn't pick-and-choose when it comes to the romsets. I had to download everything under Roms ( @ IPMD ) except of course for the French and multiball conversion. Now the table lights up and I can hear voices...This is great!
Now I've gotta download me some more tables.

actually you can pick and choose what you do is load the table. then try to play it. it'll crash and tell you what rom set(s) you are missing. then just download that exact one. Why get all of them just a lot of wasted drive space if you ask me.'
oh and btw it's IPDB (International Pinball Machine Database)

If you download ROMSets from the IPDB, only make sure to get the ones labeled 'VPinMAME'. The others are irrelevant because they are for real machines.

To find out which particular ROMSet you need for a given table you can take a look into its script.
