Hi everybody,

I'm the new PITA for you, meaning I'd love to get this thing up and running but will surely have several questions. I have worked my way through MAME a while back, and am now revisiting that project, and thought, hey why not try VP too????

I'll start with an easy question: Should I eventually get this program running well, is an old plasma 37" or 40" even conceivable, or is LCD/LED the only way to go?

Thanks, and looking forward to the new journey!

Hello, Luv...

As long as it puts out an image and is paid for, (would someone repossess a TV from a pinball cabinet?) all ya gotta do is make it fit. For pros and cons, here's the article I brushed up with, as I'm not a cab owner or even a potential one and don't stay up on the science:

I think plasmas are all but phased out by now, and LCD/LED pertains not to image generation (both use liquid crystal), but backlighting method.

Welcome to Nirvana! :pinball:

Gregg
