Williams Road Kings (Williams, 1986) loud Hum

having problems with my Road Kings game during play i get a loud hum while playing---disconnecting each speaker seperately doesn't help--- any suggestions that i can try---thank you

is it a speaker humming? or is it a solenoid hanging up causing the hum?

It would REALLY help to know what kind of machine you're dealing with. The fact that you mention a speaker, kind of indicates it's SS, but otherwise...?

Anyway, on my Black Knight, I had some humming noise which was caused by bad grounding (missing and loose mounting screws) at the sound board.

Grounding problems are the most likely cause of noise in the audio, but other causes could be a bad amp, bad power supply caps, and switched phase on the A/C input.
