These are files that are marks as free to Mod. You can argue about whether I should still be doing it, but if you do I would like you hear your words on PacDude Unauthorized modding of the core.vbs file.

My mod has PacDude's name removed but none of his work, I only modded the flipper code which I contributed myself

Pacdude's mod has removed my work, unauthorized, caused my table to not work without problems, until I had to re-release it. Also he refused to put my name on it saying that it was him that suggested the fix to the VPM team. That's just another lie, and if you don't know it, just ask someone else.

This looks like the end. though Nick said I could come back, Peter said he wanted me back, AJ let me back, 'Oz said I was going to get the chance I deserved.

And indeed the only way to get these links to stay down is to get my work restored to VPF or to finish me off, ban me. Ban me for wanting my work back, or for messing with my work where it now is.

Your constant lies, or cruel jokes is not enough ant more, you have got to actually push that knife into my back.

Not all of those links were mods, Jon, and none of them unauthorized.
There is no rule against mods here, unless you just made one up. only unauthorized mods.

I took them all down. those that he had given me permission to do already, (RoadShow) and those that still had his credit unaltered. I took them all down.
I did this because first Steve said at VPF that it had to be done. He did not say anything about consideration. He made it clear that they had to be taken down. He banned me and I took them down, as a gesture of good will. They were labeled free to mod, and I took them down. I took down the one he has said in person I could do, at which point he said in person that they were all free to mod. It was when I had added 2 more colors to the ramps on RoadShow, I'm sure you remember. I ended up not modding them for release because I could tell that he really did not like the idea of it though he said I could and I posted that I wont because he seems to not like the idea. Of course this was before he took my work out of the core. But I did get a verbal pass to mod his tables at that point in time. Now after I did some, and probably because they play better in my way of thinking, and easier in his way of thinking, he changes his mind about the permission that I have got in person, in writing, and in the tables themselves.

I took them down partly because I know I did not follow his suggestions to a tee, and the staff at VPF said I had to to keep my membership.

I have complied and now not a word about it from them, other than they will consider it. If they don't honor their side of the deal, by the end of the day I will restore all credits to those I altered to the manufactures of the tables (not myself) and start to reupload them to my project file. They will follow the letter of the announcement that they are free to mod, any and all suggestions, and wishes that he expressed in each of them and start again to link to them. They will be authorized, like they were from the start. PacDude, and 'Oz at least have said that because of some of the changes I made to some of them that THAT caused them to be unauthorized. Well I did it for a reason to hear those very people say that that is why. Now they will fully be authorized and linkable at this site. the first will be Sorcerer, a table that is a side drainer yet had no animations for the rollovers that are used a lot, until now. That is there. The upper flipper is working better to overcome the glitch and the flipper lets anyone have a much better shot at what they are aiming for.
I don't think it is fair that they would demand that I take these off line in order to keep my membership, and then just brush me off again when it is their turn to step up. And I'm not the only one. When the lion's share, as I have, agree, including someone as new as elton, as mild minored as Phoenixx, as much of a waffler as Bob, as against me personally as Leon, and the many many more think I am right, then I think I am right too. I will also write AJ another snail mail to get some more answers and more action.
I wanted to discuss this, because the tables said first 'free to mod' then please, and I suggest, etc. But first and foremost 'Free'. Why wouldn't they be? The contained work from others, and in my case the biggest part of what is left of my work. He changed my tables and others too, but the staff don't want to hear that. Rule number nine does indeed include the unwished tampering of someones files. And my table had balls through the flipper when I tested it with the new core. A change that PacDude admits was only made at alls expense to piss me off. But it was not just my tables he tampered with, in removing the VPM support for the fix.
All I want at this point is for 'Oz to keep his word. He don't have to look at this as a loss, he got everything he asked for already. I don't even want to store mods anymore, (Sitting at 1000 downloads as I write this) if they would just keep their word about giving me that chance and my complying with their unilateral demand.

Is this one bit out of line? Is it a bit fair? I admit that I tend to stick to my core beliefs, so I could be missing something.

I did not say it had to be done, I said those mods are unauthorised and you should remove them as a token of good faith. You refused and went on to argue they were authorised, even with the full knowledge that the original author had actively denied you permission to release them.

You led me to believe then, that I should as a way to show my good will and retain my membership at VPF. That is what anyone would have read from that.

You did not tell me that i would be banned if I did not take my links off my site. You never had the chance to address links because I posted none there. You only said that to take them down would be a gesture, and that you were giving me another chance at the forums. It you had been honest with me, a gesture of good faith, you would have told me that that was needed to keep my membership.
I took them down as a gesture, not because I all of a sudden changed my mind about what free to mod means, or that I agreed that they were not using my fix that he took from the membership of the community. I did it for peace. I did it because you wanted it. I did not refuse to do it when you asked, I gave my reasons for my understanding that they were free to mod and using the fix that I came up with.
How can you as an Admin. of VPF say it is OK for PacDude to take my work away from the community I gave it to and use it for himself?
