I’ve downloaded the table “Strange Scienceâ€, but I don´t get insert coins. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urnchemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Pressing F2, it says that the key “End†open/close the coin door, but if I press “Fin†, the Spanish word for End, I don’t get anything.<o></o>
I see that 2311 people have downloaded the table, so I suppose it works well.<o></o>
I will thank any help, because it looks an interesting table, and I have had the same problem with other ones.<o></o>

Try hitting the 7 key. Some tables, when they first power on, they revert to factory default settings, for some Ballys and Williams, its the 9 key, for other Ballys, its the 7 key. Hope this helps. :D

By the way, I can’t understand why people who devote a lot of time to creating a VP table (I suppose it’s so), don’t can waste a few minutes in writing a txt.file where they explain all the necessary about the options of the table. (specials, free games, options of F6, etc.).<o></o>
If you look for it in the IPMD, usually don’t get anything, and I suppose that if these great chaps are able to create the tables they must know all about this things, …?

Did you try F3? Also, check your ROMs. If you don't have the correct ROM/ROMS, the machine will terminate, and you will get the table, but without lights and score. F3 resets the table to just powered on stage. Also, F1 gives you the common buttons used in VP.

I ran across your problem with Blackout by PacDude, I had to hit 9, then F3 about 3 or 4 times but finally it kicked in and it works. So, try that with Strange Science. It should work for you.

By the way, I've downloaded Blackout by PacDude and I don't have any problem with this table.

It's not so strange, really.
Many of the Bally tables (and Gottlieb tables) from the 1980's need a nvram file to be playable. Go here and download the "Bally 6803 NVRAM FILES" (and the "GTS3 NVRAM FILES" for Gottlieb machines). Unzip these files to the vpinmame\nvram folder, then try the table.

I already had a file strngsci.nv in the folder NVRAM, but when replaced by new the table works fine.

Yeah, starting the table will automatically create the .nvram file...except with Bally 6803 machines they won't work, which is why we hide the correct nvram files of course.
