The original post is missing :(

Not really, it was a spambot post, I moved the thread here and Jon must have deleted the original post.

As Jon says all spambots must die!

It was viagra? I thought it was for cheap insurance that guaranteed billions of dollars of benefits, and free rights to Walgreens.

Thanks for the explanation StevOz. :) Didn't miss anything then.

Oh well, back to my golf. :) We're enjoying a bit of a heatwave here currently, so I'm on the course by 7.30am ... otherwise it's just too hot ... nice. :)

RE: Re: RE: Usefull information about insurance and pharmacy

I've been reading all about the heat over there, actually it's sunny cool and fine here, which is nice for golf, though very strange for the middle of winter here? Played today, very average, though I did play one good hole putted in for birdie on a par 5, won a golf ball for nearest the pin 3rd shot. That said, tee shot sliced off into bush, then a 5 wood out and over to the wrong faiway, then the money shot a 4 iron from 170 metres over the trees on then green, 1 metre from the hole, putted in for a neat birdie, playing partners were amused, won 5 bits in side bets. :)

Nice one. :) I play zig-zag golf also!

Since I have been playing very regularly, my game has improved considerably to what it was. Still not good, but good for me. The main point is that it's very enjoyable. Today, I hit 4 pars (which is exceptional) and enjoyed the woods better that usual. I play with a 7 and 9 wood rather that 3 and 4 irons (which I cannot do a thing with).
My mid range let me down (funny really because that's a strength usually) and my putting was truly exceptional!

It's a funny old game. If it all came together at the same time it would be quite good! Usually, it's any 1 from 3 (long game, mid irons, or short game); sometimes any 2 from 3; rarely 3 from 3. Though when it does happen for a couple holes you wonder why you can't string it together like that all the time!

The link to the course I play is:

http://www.parcgarnantgolf.co.uk/

For some reason it doesnt display correctly with Firefox but with IE it's okay.
I love it there! :)

I like golf if it's a video game, have a few friends that think it's a sport and they are silly, like race car drivers...if you can be in your 40's and be fat (and win) you probably are not a athlete, just a lucky dude or dudette....

Not really, it was a spambot post, I moved the thread here and Jon must have deleted the original post.

As Jon says all spambots must die!

Yeah, i tried to move it to the junkyard and it was already there! I deleted a huge list of spam...

In my case it's fat and 50'S !!!!! :) :) :) But I would not call one an athlete.

It's great fun, healthy too and extremely enjoyable regardless of my 'performance'.

You have to admit it looks a great place even if you don't particularly like it as a sport :)

I just don't like fat dudes that play golf thinking they are athletes...

Golfers are not athletes, in my opinion, have fun but don't make us think that you could beat anyone in any other sport,...I run triathlons and just turned 49..

Well I'm 43 and fit enough and I won the golf yesterday, on a countback, just as well I pared the last 4 holes. :)

Stroke round had 85 gross and 71 nett.

Doubt if I or Elton can make anyone around these 'ere parts think, nice thought though...

Nice one StevOz

That's pretty good - but you are a young lad so I'd expect you to be fit! I'm pushing 53 and not as fit as I'd like. Gave up the fags 6 years ago and am increasingly improving fit wise, but 40 a day for years has it's toll. Still there's no going back, I'm semi retired now and will be fully-retired in October. Shall have plenty more time to improve my golf (not that I'll ever be a threat to you StevOz). I'm simply not competitive enough. I play for fun and have fun :) Could never be serious for 18 holes. But it's a great game even though Jon disagrees. Either he's never tried it or has and wasn't any good! LOL.

Congrats for the win StevOz - wishing you many more to come. By the way, did you look at the website for the course I posted? Just interested in what you think of my local course.

Ah, good to see your local golf course has an english version, Welsh?

Eh, still have no idea what those names for the holes mean. :)

Looks like a really good course and a nice looking club house, now that's it IE you must die!

Yeah I see what you mean firefox doesn't display it properly - even in Welsh! Yes, the names actually describe characteristics of the area and local history - I won't explain it to ya now because it would be meaningless to you. Suffice to say they sould nice when spoken. Anyway, you suffered IE for a couple of minutes to view my lovely course - thank you. It's only been opened 9 years and has really come into its own in the last 12 months. I live 4 miles from it so it's really convenient.

Your course looks well matured - close to the beach too - can't fault it. :)
