I use a very old version of MS Office that has MS Word because I don't want to have to learn how to do all the new stuff just to type a little. I don't type a lot of documents but have found WordPad could be used if you add a spellchecker. Grammarly is a free spell and grammar checker that works with WordPad:
Creating tables is a little more trouble. You add the following plusses and minuses to a line and then press enter at the end of a line to create a table. The number of dashes is not important:
+------+-----+-----+
Also if someone emails you a *.docx file and you don't have the current version of MS Word, you can create an association to WordPad and open it.
Write your best with Grammarly.
Grammarly makes sure everything you type is easy to read, effective, and mistake-free. Try it today:
