Well I decided to start my next table , Xenon.

Well actually I have started an original "Fifth Element" table allready, but as its original, It will take a LONG time to finish...

So...to keep my skills sharp, I have to do a re-creation, while I am also working on Fifth Element.

Heres a wip of Xenon...

Any chance of a SS of The Fifth Element? I'm sure it'll shine as brightly as everything else you've made. I don't suppose there's much hope that your original is a flipperless, is there?

A Wip of Fifth Element.

Got to design a game before I can do the graphics. The 4 purple pillars are going to be buildings on 1 side, and the stones on the other. At the top of the table is the hotel ship. The 2 boxes at the bottom will be the cloning lab and the temple. In the center of the table will be a large sphere (Mr, Shadow), that will come up out of the table when its time to do battle.

That looks and sounds like a very interesting and challenging table, Kurt. Even your WIP look better than half the final releases we see. Sure do wish talent was cloneable.

Heres another WIP. All I have to do is add the colored sleeves around the appropriate lights, and fix some texture issues (more detail in the playfield and apron, and the score cards and instructions.

Heres another WIP.

I sorta screwed myself over adjusting som ambient light levels, I accidentally almost wiped out my shadows.

I'll fix that for the next 23 hour render..... :)

Well, it looks like it will be closer to the end of the month, then the 15th. :(

Anyway, I've updated the video WIP on my site.

Play special attention to the flashing lights in the plunger (for when the ball is captured). The plunger is fully animated as well. Also the target number lights are functioning...sorry Plumb, they are red.... :)

I have added flashing pop bumpers (flash when you hit them), even thought the real table doesnt have them. I have an adjustment so you can make them steady like the real thing. I just like flashing pop bumpers... :)

As always the wip video is at 15 fps, so it looks jerkier then it is in real life.

Kurt, do you have an alternate file for a standard launcher? One that just uses the 'enter' button and doesn't use the U/D arrow keys? I'm working on a VPM cabinet, and requiring the arrow keys means this table (one of my favorites) won't be included in the cabinet when completed. :(
