1976 Gottlieb's bank shot / sure shot issue

Pepito

Pinball Nudger
Hi from Italy

My 1976 sure shot (aka Spot Pool here in Italy) now totally restarts the game every time the 1st ball drains into the hole - each time the pinball re-starts back from zero points, 5 balls, and ready again for the 1st launch...
Just like when i put a coin after a Game Over (or a power on) and a new game starts...

In this scenario basically i can only play one-ball-games forever as well as the pinball won't never run in Game Over state...

I put the coin, the pinball starts, the screen shows ball number five, i launch the ball, once the ball drains the pinball resets, ball counter shows 5 and a new game is ready again.
Have been checked-trobleshoot for weeks... searched this forum, google etc...
still stuck...
Please, any hint would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Regards
Pepito

Ciao Paolo
Grazie della risposta

Presentarmi sul forum sarà un vero piacere.

Non ho usato nessun traduttore. Mastico inglese perchè ho vissuto in california ed ho ancora tanti amici in US

Grazie e a presto

I don't know if you got the issue resolved yet, but if not, [USER = 16748] @pinballdaveh [/ USER] would be the person around here to ask!

The vending machine companies I worked for never had any add a ball machines. I’ve worked on many sure shot credit versions. To take on a project like this without posting a schematic would be pure guesswork. If it’s in Italian I’ll need it translated 😁.

Hi mr Pinballdaveh
:)
Nice to read you and thanks for intresting in my pinball's issue

My pinball could work either Credit Mode or Add a Ball mode... anyway... here in Italy due to legal restrictions against gambling, starting fron 60s pinballs were forced in "add a ball" mode only.

You can find the wiring in the attached PDFs
Hope could be helpful
It's the original schematic of US Bank Shot version... the same of the italian SPOT POOL...

After weeks of reading forums, guides and do troubleshooting, i still can't spot the issue.

Thanks in advance, any hint/tip will be appreciated.
:)

I was afraid to do this but I believe if you unapprove files, they just are like a soft delete, still there but not visible..

you're talking about FTP on uploads.PN still?

No, the archived category in resources..

I could see removing some resources and/or resource folders, if that helps. that VP PhysMod stuff is probably not useful any more, etc

    oh wait, I see it

  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
true, but they could also be invisible to users and perhaps allow the category to be removed
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
Don't know, do know that if you delete a category all files would also be removed so that's bad,
    Quote
  • @ Ike Savage:
seems like we discussed it in some length at one point and came up with the current arrangement, but I don't have a strong opinion on that stuff. the one thing I do like is that I can clear out weaker tables from the main section without deleting them
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
Sounds fine to me Ike, can't disagree with ya!
    Quote
  • @ Ike Savage:
is it that you want to declutter more of the resources section?
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
    No it's fine
    Quote
  • @ Ike Savage:
also, just to be clear-- the issue with "unapprove" is that you don't know if the table actually gets deleted from the server, right? AFAIK I have no way of seeing where the tables actually lie on the server, so it's something I can't test effectively
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
They wouldn't get deleted from the server, I don't think.
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
Can we get back to the subdomain folders/files, the uploads.pinballnirvana.com folder is where uploads would need to be, just wondering what might need to be deleted..

  • @ Ike Savage:
do you mind a phone call? probably easier to discuss, save some wear and tear on my hands, too

  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
No problems Ike, can't talk now but will try and set this up.

  • @ Ike Savage:
okay, well let me know if you need space cleared up across the torrent area, because I have some ideas
