I wanted to create this thread to see if there are any games which are similar to Pinball but are not the same. It means that if in some games are take the principles or design like the classic pinball machines have, it will be great.

know one unusual slot machine that is very similar to Pinball. It's a slot game where the ball falls like in similar pinball machine, but it falls randomly without any help of the gamer. It's more rathe interesting variant of the slot game. the example of such slot machine called 'Cashatoa' is attached to link.

By the way, my favourite machine, if you know is the Zen Pinball 2;))

Hey, Zen Pinball 2! I don't play it as much anymore, but I spent a summer obsessively playing through all their Star Wars tables! I think I liked Return of the Jedi best... at least, better than the movie. Really, the only thing I can think of are Pachinko tables... and, as cool-looking as they are, I've never cared much for them. Pinball gives the illusion that, with the help of flippers and nudging, we can beat a machine. Pachinko likes to put the machine in charge.

Wow, wow!)) I didn't hear anything about the Star Wars related Pinball game. It seems interesting. Who's the developer? :awaken:

The Star Wars tables are available through Zen Pinball 2. Depending on what you're using to play ZP2 on, there should be a Google Store or Apple App store to buy some new tables for it, including the great Star Wars ones!

Couldn't find it on the app store. do you have a link? Will be indebted to you. By the way, I already play enough the Cashatoa and now thinking about to go to another game, but there are no similar variants. I will not play it for real money anymore, b ut there are no alternatives for it, unfortunately.

By the way, do you know some of the popular casinos where I can play the pinball games for real money?:pinball:

Well, it's showing up on the Apple store as Zen Pinball... it's also known as Pinball FX. In fact, if you have a Windows 10 computer, you can play a lot of Pinball FX tables for free!
Unfortunately, America doesn't allow pinball and gambling. In fact, pinball was illegal in New York City until the 1970s because of gambling concerns. But who needs money when you can win a free game? :pistoles:

EDIT: If you like casinos and you like pinball, the Pinball Hall of Fame is located in Las Vegas, Nevada! http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ And, lookee here! I found a link to Zen in the app store! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zen-pinball/id465694275?mt=8

Hey Mr. Cleef, is it? I dig that Pin Museum. Nothing but pinball as far as the eye can see(Mostly because of the walls). Talk about pinball nirvana ! It is their support and dedication to the Salvation Army that is a real eye opener. Having developed a true disdain for many "Charities" It does my soul good to see one not in it for their gain alone. The 'Natural Cures' books showed how most charities never find a solution and don't want to. To quote Firesign Theatre "You Never Know Where It's Going To Come From" The source of this information about the Salvation Army is proof of that. :special:

where is the unapprove option, anyway? is that a super mod thing or something from the admin panel?

  • @ Ike Savage:
    oh wait, I see it

  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
true, but they could also be invisible to users and perhaps allow the category to be removed
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
Don't know, do know that if you delete a category all files would also be removed so that's bad,

  • @ Ike Savage:
seems like we discussed it in some length at one point and came up with the current arrangement, but I don't have a strong opinion on that stuff. the one thing I do like is that I can clear out weaker tables from the main section without deleting them

  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
Sounds fine to me Ike, can't disagree with ya!

  • @ Ike Savage:
is it that you want to declutter more of the resources section?
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
    No it's fine

  • @ Ike Savage:
also, just to be clear-- the issue with "unapprove" is that you don't know if the table actually gets deleted from the server, right? AFAIK I have no way of seeing where the tables actually lie on the server, so it's something I can't test effectively
    Quote
  • @ JonPurpleHaze:
They wouldn't get deleted from the server, I don't think.

Can we get back to the subdomain folders/files, the uploads.pinballnirvana.com folder is where uploads would need to be, just wondering what might need to be deleted..

do you mind a phone call? probably easier to discuss, save some wear and tear on my hands, too

No problems Ike, can't talk now but will try and set this up.

The file is actually on the server in FP originals but isn't public.

  • @ AnonTet:
Hi guys, I«m asking here as it might have a quicker response. How can I check the ball size used by authors in FP? or at least the default size if anyone knows. Thanks
    Quote
  • @ Gimli:
Most FP authors use the default size and don't know how to use BAM to alter it.
    Quote
  • @ Gimli:
I think it may be 13.8 though
    Quote
  • @ AnonTet:
Thanks. But while I've waited I've looked at a ring around a ramp in LotR that's 26mm so i figure the ball being 24mm. A bit short of real life ball size if that's so.
    Quote
  • @ AnonTet:
of course I could've used my brains earlier and create a table with some carefully spaced guides and check that the ball is in fact 27mm in diameter. Peeking at fp.exe and bam.dll and there's no way to change this. you can set the colour and the id to track it though (but that's known)
    Quote
  • @ Gimli:
With Bam custom ball coding you can create balls of any size...see my titorial
