Spot Bowler (Gottlieb 1950) VP8
IPD No. 2313
New VP8 Build of the 1950 Gottlieb Game Spot Bowler. Spot Bowler was released in October 1950 and was designed by Wayne Neyens with Art by Roy Parker. 1,000 Spot Bowler games were produced making it moderately rare today. Spot Bowler has a place in flipper game history as it was the first game produced with the flippers in both the location and orientation (forward, not reversed) that is now considered as "standard". It marks the beginning of the end of the "where do we put these flippers" phase of early flipper game design evolution. It is a very challenging game to play, but one that can be mastered with enough time spent. As with all of my games, pressing the "R" key will display the game rules and feature keys.
