wow, steve... it's sounding more attractive by the minute! :D
no, i've traditionally been very conservative with drugs, alcohol, etc.
i spent the first couple weeks of my life in an incubator so as not to die as a premie baby, was frail through childhood, and started sports, aerobics and nutrition when i became a teenager in order to offset all that. to become stronger, less anxious / depressed and more 'normal'.
and all that would have probably have turned my life around fairly nicely except i came down with a genetic disease in my mid 20's and my body has sort of been slowly dying since then. (haha, i mean faster than the usual programming). i'm seriously amazed to still be alive at this point. my hands and feet are constantly aching and my right shoulder is deteriorating to the point that i'm having to do a lot of things lefty, now. that's kinda just the outside stuff, tho.
thank god the legal system in the US pretty-much routed me towards alcohol, starting rather heavily in my late 30's. most other potentially life-changing, life-enhancing herbs and psychotropics are outlawed, presumably because alcohol is much better for cardiovascular health and the liver, etc.
govt keeps looking out for the ppl, as usual! :D
