This is the VP9 ONLY version.... I did just upload this to VPF, but I thought maybe Phoenixx or someone not registered there might want to check it out.

I only uploaded it to this thread, rather than the download section, as it is only for VP9.

I love the flippers in vp9.

I also disabled the VPM nudge and used my own numbers, which meant I had to script the TILT and disable the flippers and other stuff, but it is worth it to not use those ridiculous vp9 nudge settings.

I removed the transparency in the reels on the backglass and removed the popup score card reels, because of the vp9 transparency issues and fixed the other vp8 and vp9 incompatible stuff .

EDIT: Table finally uploaded to the Resources section. --@Ike Savage

Nice table Bob, as I wrote in the other "site" :)

But I was thinkning in adding a few comments, this time about the nudging.

First: in VP9 you can add a line in the table_Init like this:

StartShake

Now when you nudge the table, it moves in the dirección of the nudge :) Just like in the older VP.

Second: you can change the nudge parameters in a vpm table. Something like this:

Add these lines to the table_Init sub (I guess you know this already)

' Nudging
vpmNudge.TiltSwitch = 1
vpmNudge.Sensitivity = 5
vpmNudge.TiltObj = Array(Bumper1, Bumper2, Bumper3, LeftSlingshot, RightSlingshot)

The TiltSwitch changes from table to table, sometimes you may use vpmNudge.TiltSwitch = swTilt if it is already defined in the vpm scripts for this table.

Now if you don't add anything more, then the vpm scripts do a nudge of 2 in any direccion (270, 0 or 90), but in the keyup sub you may add these lines to override the defaults (here using your values):

If keycode = LeftTiltKey Then vpmNudge.DoNudge 5, 2
If keycode = RightTiltKey Then vpmNudge.DoNudge 355, 2
If keycode = CenterTiltKey Then vpmNudge.DoNudge 0, 1

This way you don't need your own tilt subs.

Greetings
JP

Thanks for that info JP! I already thought about that shake idea, but was hoping to see it in yours or someone's table so I could learn to adapt it to nudging.

I only guessed on how to get rid of the VPM nudging :) I don't really know how to do any of this stuff, I just keep adding to a script until it finally works. :)

:cheers:

I'll release my tables tomorrow, I'm just finishing the backdrops. But if you have played any of the betas then you have seen that when you nudge the tables, they shake like in VP8 (I refer to the visual movement), but they just need an extra command in the script.

So tomorrow you'll be able to see the scripts. They are very similar to the VP8 scripts, but I have tried to use the new posibilities (like the new slingshots, lights, zoom posibilities, etc). I'm also adding your settings for the nudge so you don't need to change them :)

JP, that is fantastic! I had only downloaded your Kiss VP9 table and I didn't really play it, I just checked the nudge and I didn't even notice the shake effect. I flipped the ball up to test the nudge when it was going down the middle of the table, I am so bewildered by the ball moving right or left an inch when you nudge that that was all I was concentrating on. :) I just can't play pinball under the new vp9 default nudging, it's a game breaker for me, so I'm truly excited about the table moving and the other adjustments. The nudging is probably the only reason I couldn't use Future Pinball.

I look forward to tomorrow's releases.

Thanks Bob, amazing work done on the Spiderman Table!

Please find attached the link for the belonging Backglass .. ;)

Cheers,
FD.

If you use this backdrop with a two monitor setup, could you take a picture and share it with us? There is a way to split up the scores so they fit in the 4 player backglass windows.

I don't leave much room for a backglass for just a one monitor setup. I never was a big fan of the real backglass on the backdrop, I spent hundreds of hours working gamerooms. I do really like the look of the real backglass on a two monitor setup or the way you can view the whole backglass separately in Future Pinball.....

bob,
This is how I use the backglasses solely loaded onto a 2nd monitor (horizontal) - pic taken in my 'test-lab'. ;)

I would love to know how to split up the scores to fit the backglass on the 2nd monitor for the 'older' backglasses. :D

Cheers,
FD.

I don't know how to do it, some people do it with text boxes and I've seen PacDude do it with individual reels. There are lots of tables for VP8 with the four player scores broken up and displayed on the backglass. Scapino once did it for this Spider-man table, but it didn't keep a correct score, so I never incorporated it into my version.

Spent 2-3 hours playing this version... tried to break the 1M barrier without success...!!

This is how the old vpm tables should be done... challenging, difficult but not "unfair".

I've said it before...but I wish you'd make more VPM conversions.

I’m sorry getting into this discussion of experts, but where can I get the spiderm7 room.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Thank you by the ROM.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
But.. I think I’ll return to your version 1.26 of Amazing Spiderman, it’s my favourite, till now.

You do know that older 1.26 version uses VP8 or lower and the version in this thread is for only VP9?

Oh, yes. I played this new versión with VP9.
The fact is that I was used to version 1.26, and the last two versions (for VP8 y VP9), the ball seems to me a little strange, as too large and brilliant.
In any case, thanks for all tables.

I also prefer the VP8 version.
Probably because I´m lazy & it´s easier to play & get high scores.;):wave:
