I would have done that if it was an announcement from Randy, but since it is an IM chat with Noah, it doesn't seem right to do that. You can read the chat without being logged in, so I don't think it's asking too much to click on the link.

After all it is already publicized and freely readable and PN is a major Visual Pinball forum.

I don't repost anything in which the author has requested it not be reposted, and I am only asking for the same respect. I don't think it's a stretch.

I have tried and tried to work as a community, and if someone had simply asked, this wouldn't be an issue. I spent a lot of time and effort getting and writing this interview, and I feel it displays a lot of disrespect to us to post without asking.

I'm really disappointed in the lack of respect we're being shown on this forum. If a work by someone else is posted and a request to remove submitted, it should be honored by the forum administrators. I thought that was how this community operated.

Put it in a private area on your forum and then you possibly have a complaint. Otherwise you have no valid beef. Saying something is copyrighted doesn't make it so.

I'd swear that redistribution notice wasn't there when I did it. Even so, I just don't get you. You claim to care about the community. So, I posted information that came from you that is of interest to the community. You should be all for that, if you care as much as you say. If I didn't credit you that would be one thing, but I certainly did, I credited both you and your forum.

My attempts at being "community" have all been met with animosity here. I would LOVE to be a community, but m4paws, you have to admit that you, among others, have been opposed to the whole concept.

I work on VPF.org 6-8 hours a day getting tutorials added, offering support, fixing little things here and there, answering countless PMs, setting up more interviews, etc, etc. When I come here, I am met with disrespect and contempt. Can you just once put yourself in my shoes?

I have no desire to fight with any of you anymore, but I would like a little respect for my accomplishments in the past four months. I have been working hard to bring to the community everything I have already, and there is more to come.

A good start to showing even a little respect would have been asking before reposting. I really don't see that as too much to ask.

@ Phoenixx - I appreciate your gesture to ask permission. If my request hadn't been met with such opposition, I would have immediately said yes, but it is my opinion that it was posted with the intent to express just what a lack of respect m4paws has for me and the VPF community, so I must decline.

I am more than willing to continue trying to resolve the issues we seem unable (but not unwilling) to overcome, and I look forward to further correspondance via PM.

I think this would be a good time for all of us to relax.

Noah, this is your chance to show that you are willing to make concessions. m4 only posted it because i asked for it, so the one to blame that it is here now is actually me, and i will gladly take the full blame too.

Now for how we are going to deal with it. Insisting wont help the situation at all whereas being lenient will have a positive effect.

Which of both is preferrable?

@Bob - You were accurate when you said it wouldn't be right. Thank you for being honest and having a sense of what's right, regardless of the incessant "name grabbing" ill feelings being harbored here.

@Phoenixx - Just as you stand on your principles, which is an admirable quality, you are now asking me to compromise mine.

As I have previously mentioned, I don't wish to fight with any of you anymore, but I also feel I deserve a whole lot more respect from the members here. The disagreement we're having here is solely based on the total lack of respect I've been shown.

Standing up for myself and what I believe is right may not have a positive effect for you, but it certainly does for me. I stand my ground on this.

If you would like to continue this discussion via IM, I feel that would be the next best step to finally putting to rest our differences. I can PM you my IM info, if you'd like to do that.
