Some people have been having troubles with AIO tables not knowing that you have to use TerryRed's AIO (all-in-one) files with that table. To help with that, I have added a new prefix (which you can see above) to both the forums and the resources section.

I am asking that the authors add this new prefix to their downloads so people know this requires the AIO files. Also, if you can add in the description that this requires the AIO files it will be much appreciated. If there are tables listed that require this prefix, and the author is "missing" please post the name and URL here, and one of us will update that listing.

The prefix will not only help any confusion, but also will become searchable in the resources as well.

To edit your resource:
1. Browse to your download listing.
2. Click the 3 dot icon at the top right (Just below the Download button)
3. Click "Edit Resource" to go to the Edit Resource page.
4. Click in a empty space in the "prefixs" field, and select AIO Table in the prefix drop down box (down at the bottom of the listing)
5. Save your file.

Your download listing should now show the new prefix. If you have any problems just post in this thread and one of us will help.

Thanks for any help.

When you say AIO files, I assume you mean the FizX 1k ball model and the PUP pack?

I always include them in the download. It seems like everyone should know FizX requires them but I do state how to install them in the instructions. I think everyone should do that.

To clarify (since there has been confusion about this before)... there's no such thing as an AIO table. Adding a prefix for that would just confuse people even more... and make it a pain for me... as I am not providing support for anyone else's projects.

=================================================================

The "FP and BAM Essentials AIO" package is including both FP and BAM and numerous other things already assembled in one pre-installed folder. This is something that "everyone" should have to play "all" updated tables using BAM features (saves them lots of problems). This package is always updated with the latest files.

=================================================================

The "AIO Example table and tutorial" (which is only used by creators / modders to add FizX physics, ball rolling, fleep sounds, ssf, dof, pup) is a complete different thing than the "FP and BAM Essentials AIO" package (that package just happens to include the AIO Example table and tutorial as well for convenience only).

Everything needed to update a FP table using the AIO Example code and tutorial is included with the AIO Example table package (all included with the FP and BAM Essentials AIO, but you can download it separately on its own). If anyone is updating a table for that, then it includes everything they need, and they can include the extras with their own uploads (their own PUP SSF pup-pack if needed, the FizX ball model).

To be clear... if a table is properly updated using this tutorial, then no additional files are "required" to play the table (the FizX 1K ball model being the only exception since it makes the ball behave more accurately. That is however pre-installed with FP and BAM Essentials as default.zip in each BAM folder). The code is made in a way so you do NOT require PUP or anything else for the table to work... as those are optional features (if you want those features, then install DOF, PUP and any required Pup-pack).

=================================================================

Simply put: you only "require" the latest FP and BAM to run a table using the AIO Example table's code... just like any other table using BAM features!

=================================================================

Don't confuse one for the other.

Don't confuse one for the other.

I think you should rename "FP and BAM Essentials AIO" perhaps simply "FP and BAM Essentials". Every time I look at it I get it confused with the FizX AIO.

figure it out then what you want the prefix to be changed to, and we will change it.

What exactly does AIO mean?

What exactly does AIO mean?

AIO = All In One

The point of confusion is between these two topics:

AIO = All in One

It's a generic term and abbreviation used for many things... to simply mean, "all of the indicated items included in one package". This can be "anything". For VPX, we have the "VPX All in One Installer" that has its own items... but its not referring to anything else, as there are different VP based AIO installers or packages out there as well.

Each of my "separate" AIO topics and downloads are very clear about what they are, and what they include. If anyone reads anything more into that to think they are the same thing... I can't help that. If everyone would actually read what each topic / download's description says, there should be no confusion. One is a FP-BAM and apps Essentials package... the other is a FizX-Ball Rolling-SSF-Fleep-PuP-DOF package for creators to update their tables / mods.

Please don't use the prefix "AIO Table" to refer to anything that used the "AIO Example Table / Tutorial". That table and tutorial is simply a template and guide that anyone can use... but it doesn't define what the table is... as that can vary greatly from person to person with their project, as each person has their own standards for features and quality they will create from that point on.

This isn't like "PinEvent" which specifically refers to all of "my" uploads that use my own specific sets of standards and features that are consistent on everything I create under that label. (so if you get a PinEvent table... they all will have xxx features, xxx lighting, xxx updates, provide support for xxx, etc). Far more than just, a "table" download.

so there should be a prefix for the Cabinet versions "CAB" which are used with a table with a LCD screen rotated 90 degrees. Otherwise there is also SSF for the surround sound of the "pin_mech" "rollingball" but which also works in stereo. I am not the type to read the instructions in the box, so yes I did not know all these terms not so long ago. thanks for the clarifications.
