Captive Balls slowing down VP

Looking for a way to use 8 captive balls on a VP original table. Main thread can be found on VPForums. (http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=8151) This is just the - there - mentioned file. Just hit "1" key for a ball to play...

BTW: The 8th ball is still to be put on table, but I think you'll see the problem with just seven...

Plays fine in VP 9.0.7 but massive ball stuttering in VP 8.

But if I uncheck all 3 ball options in video options (so no ball shadows or decals, and no antialiasing) it plays OK in VP8 on my system, not as smooth as VP9 but close.

I like the design.
