I have relesed a 2nd Popey themed table, Popeye by Chad Valley Just as with commercial pinball machines, bagatelle makers often borrowed themes from other bagateele & toy companies. Chad Valley, a leading toy manufacturer in England, has long made bagatelle and pinball related toys. While I'm not sure, I blieve Chad Valley is still in business. I figure4 it gets its name form a region in the UK, although that's only a guess.
Chad Valley's Popeye almost looks like it was made inside an cardboard box of some sort. It differs from more well known bagatelle in several ways. One, it has a notched ball rail at the top, and second, it doesn't seem to have any nails or brads. Expertly timed nudging is required to make this game interesting since otherwise the ball always goes into the same scoring hole for some odd reason. Missed balls were allowed to be picked up and shot again, so any balls that don't score will be given back to the player to try again.
You can dowmload this one by following the link and paging down till you find it:
