Williams F-14 Tomcat (Williams, 1987) game ends with 'c50j' ... more

Title says most. The c50j shows up in player 1. Could be related, sometimes after a side drain nothing happens for 30 or 40 seconds, then all the Solenoids eject which gives another game ball. Does not do this on last ball.

the c50j is actually [50] which is the match number. Geesh, sometimes! This is still delaying after a drain once-in-a-while; and I noticed that when the ball goes into the upper right ball holder we delay again for 10ish seconds before anything happens. Sound works fine; it is not talking during this time. Ideas?

Do you have the correct # of balls loaded in the machine? When the machine goes into that looking for ball function it usually means that not enough balls are in the machine. It also could be a problem with the multiball trough or outhole trough switches or optos.

Yes sir - 4 balls and setup for 4 balls. May have fixed itself as the machine has been sitting for bout 3 years; maybe it needed loosened up. Both switches have passed 'switch edges' and DMM reports near zero when closed. Have another issue - when doing multi-ball in 3rd ball, machine fires all balls at ya, then goes to end of game; flippers die, no scores, nothing. Even if you have balls on the play field. I have set 'factory' on it and also have tested all switches and solenoids. What am I missing?

If it’s been sitting for years the batteries should be changed.

Batteries are fine, first thing I checked. Gonna put new ones in anyway.
