Firepower V1.6 (PD) has been sent to AJ's. You can also get it here right now:

I guess you could call this one Firepower At Night if you wanted. I've included two playfields with the game (Playfield and PlayfieldDark). PlayfieldDark is the default. Both are updated versions, but PlayfieldDark has major lighting changes. You can select which one you want to use in the VP Editor.

I've also adjusted the apron and the cards and light on the apron to be darker all the time (which makes even the lighter playfield appear more "lit" when it's darker). I've redone the center lights, not so much to alter the color (they're still not orange, Phoenixx), but rather to get a better contrast effect across the bulb lens instead of looking flat. Thus the bulb center is white at full brightness and the outer edges are a bright yellow away from the bulb.

Combined with the darker ambience look, all the lights really stand out now. I've also redone their dimmest mode a bit so the bulbs appear to bloom better.

I've also touched up the backglass a bit, fixed a relay bug for a couple of the roms (didn't change the system check back when more roms where added to VPM so System7 games wouldn't turn off the bumpers and slingshots when the game told it to).

I've adjusted the backbox perspective slightly so it's not sitting straight up anymore, but appears to be at a an angle with the table like it should.

Have fun and remember others this Holiday Season....

Thanks Pacdude, looks mighty fine to me, looking forward to giving it another shake, it's no easy beat that's for sure.

It's not easy, but it plays well. I will only comment on what is unique with this table. I have never played a real FIRE POWER. I love the layout, and the color, and the game play. I like the dark, but I would not call it At Night, unless I was imagining playing it outside and at night. Indoor machines are lit more at night than day time usually. OK I know that was not very helpful, but you don't need help. There is actually little I would change about this table (other than the you know whats) but little details that would be so simple like the kicker hole. A gray disc was covering it. I took that off, hoping to dig up the kicker hole, but then had a black disc. I agree the gray disc is better, but now it should be a bit darker. You know, that if you put a graphic of a real kicker hole there and made the VP element hidden that that would work nice, and look better imo. The action of the Pops seems perfect to me. Those pot lickers can be a real chore to set well. Flow seems nice, and the game play is swell.
What is you favorite ROM set to use? I tried three, but one was fire action by mistake, and one was one of the bootleg sets, and it would not work. I went with L2.

VP does not display balls sitting in invisible kickers very well, so while a kicker hole graphic would look nice while nothing was in it, it would most likely look like crap when a ball was sitting in it. VP's own kickers do not have that problem.

I tend to use either the System7 rom with 7-digits or Oliver's new rom with the added game 'modes' to them.

Yeah, I know they don't, but I know how to make them.
Thanks for the ROM tips.
