If I understand correctly, you pay a $1000 deposit for the base table, then another $2,500-2,800 for a game module which fits in to the upper third of the PF. That gives you the potential to swap in a different module in future, creating a new game of sorts.

The lower 2/3 of each PF is apparently a dynamic, programmable screen, able to tightly track balls, allowing for various virtual interactions.

They also make very simple game modules for about $400 each. That might make sense for home users, kids and certain arcade situations, I guess.

Hard to know what to think without trying a couple of these out first-hand. There's some obvious drawbacks, but I could see these things being a good value if the quality's there.
