FP loader slow

Can someone please have a look at why the FP loader is slow on clicking on the desktop icon? The tables load fast; it's just very slow to get going. Also, the scrolling of the table files is very slow.
This is on Windows 10, I should add. Windows 11, OK

VPX, no problem, very fast throughout all operations on both 10 and 11.

Sounds like you might have something causing slow downs from monitoring of the FP folder.

Be sure you don't have anti-virus or Defender causing that. For some people, they may need to add exceptions to their anti-virus or Defender for their vpin folders including the FP folder (as the realtime monitoring can cause odd slow downs, stuttering, etc).

Also, be sure the FP folder, or any files within it are not "blocked" in windows. This can happen if you download a zip file to install or update FP, and you didn't check to unblock that zip file before extracting it.

Thanks, Terry. I will work on it and report back. It was a fresh installation of the Baller installer. All former registry entries were deleted, and install went without any errors.

Just to confirm, Terry, future Pinball runs at 32 bit?

Thanks, George. I use NOD32, so I have ruled that out. However, my graphics card could do with an update to 8 GB, and I am sure that's where the problem lies.
