Lately my tables are playing so fast that I can not really enjoy playing them. Does anybody know how to slow them down?

ALL tables? Just FizX tables? A video would be nice.

FizX has been updated and lately a big change in performace means slower machines can now probably run FizX at proper pace which can explain your findings.

Anon: On further inspection, it is the FizX tables that are the worst. I don't mind a fast table without stutter, which I solved on Terry's Pin Event tables by turning ray trace shadows off. He has done a magnificent color job with these tables but it was impossible to follow the ball. Maybe there is a setting in FizX that can slow the ball speed . Older tables like 24 or Bond run perfectly. Some tables in VP like AC DC are also to fast, but JP's are the proper speed. I have the bottom end GPU (GTX 1050) 16 Gb ram so I don't think i'm over powered. I'd send a video but I don't know how.

yes I realized that I had created tables that were really too heavy to turn. My StarWars and the perfect example of an oversized monster. I noticed that most often the performance drop was caused by design, polygon, light... and the GPU gave up. So don't deprive yourself of fizX, adjust it as you wish to the desired level of challenge because it's not that demanding.

Thank-you Zobou. I will investigate FizX, I really like the new physics I also have to understand the flipper settings because they are too bouncy and difficult to control the ball.

On FizX, reducing the slope will slow the table down but you can't change it in the FP editor. It must be changed in the script using the parameter "Table_Slope" on FizX because it overrides all the other places where you can change it.

Please notice that the creator builds a table according to his own taste. I for one tend to prefer the tables to be on the faster side and bouncier flippers.
But you can adjust yourself to taste.
Pinball is not a "one size fits all" kind of thing.

Regarding the flippers you can control the bounce with

Code:
High_Velocity_Threshold = 2500 ' Default = 2500 (100 to 3000) : Ball Speed in mm/s above which Flipper_High_Velocity_BouncingCoeff is fully apply. Below this speed, BouncingCoeff is applied proportionally depend ball speed between High and Low value
Flipper_Low_Velocity_BouncingCoeff = 0.8 ' Default = 0.8 (0 to 0.99) : Bouncing Coeff for Flipper rubber when ball has low velocity. Higher give more bounce at low ball speed
Flipper_High_Velocity_BouncingCoeff = 0.3 ' Default = 0.3 (0 to 0.99) : Bouncing Coeff for Flipper rubber when ball has high velocity. Higher give more bounce at high ball speed

OK Gentlemen: Thank-you, I thought I was just a table player but as time moves I have learned so much in this hobby about pinball tables and video. Thank-you Anon and George.
I solved my problem. In VP, I discovered my Pinmame was outdated,V1.4 . I thought when I updated to !0.8 Pinmame would get updated as well, so that was an improvement and in FP just turning off ball shadows made the tables playable again (not a speed issue)
Now I will delve into script adjustments. Thanks again.

i like fast tables, what are you finding fast? To me, the FP tables are just normal

fourbanks: I love the FP tables. You wouldhave toseemy tables before i updated my software. You would not believe how fast they were running.
