Game Name Puzzles Me!!!

I recently purchased a bally 'RO GO' machine. Does anyone know how they came up with the name for this machine? What does the name have to do with the theme of this machine? What does 'RO GO' stand for? anyone have any idea - i'd like to understand! Phil.

I think the game is along the Viking theme, so it may mean something in that regard. You have a great game there!

well it does have a nordic fantasy theme
but no explanation as to why it is named ro go

since i have an interest in languages and cultures, this question intrigues me. but the words don't ring any bells or remind me of any particular language. "ro go" seems as much japanese / korean or aborignal australian as it does norwegian / scandinavian.

i'll have to take a serious stab at some point and try to figure out more. a quick search last night on the net didn't turn up any ideas or useful info.

the way things work, a few years down the line i'll get out my bag of nordic rune stones (they're for casting fortunes, like the tarot and i-ching) and discover that one of the stones is "ro" and one "go".
