Got a call from Will last night....

Will called me last night. We haven't talked in a while, but he wanted to catch up. It seems, try as hard as you like- you just can't stay away from vp. "There's a vp 9.1.5 now"?! He wanted to catch up, and stay in touch with his friends. To those who don't know him "Druadic" is a long time vp'er who has made some vp8 tables. and does flipperless tables too. He asked about what was up with all the new pinball sites, so I had to get him up to speed.

He has a new game to try out, and I'll get it up here once he mails me the flashdrive. He's ok for the time being, but is still out of work (going on 2 1/2 years). His spirit is dampened, but not broken. He's taking classes on welding, in an effort to get a job. If anyone knows of anything, I think he's a little southwest of Rockford Illinois if I remember correctly. Anyway, just wanted to put out there that he is ok.

Will do Sleepy. I know he has many friends at PinballNirvana. It's one of the reasons I posted this. That way his friends know he's ok. He has limited internet access at the library, as he doesn't have a place of his own. He has a few weeks left of unemployment, then it get's interesting. He's still trying to better himself, by taking classes, such as welding.

Ask him if he's ever studied Java. I was surprised at the number of jobs available for Java Programmers in Los Angeles several months ago, though that may not be the same in his area.

Is he staying with friends, I Hope?
I seem to remember that he also had a pet cat and now I am worried that he has been dislocated and I am worried for his circumstances and his pets.

I could live easily on the street in temperate California if I had to, but I would be devastated by having to give up my pets.

also going on two years being out of work I feel for him
I haven't worked since jan of 2011 and have NO income at all
welding though is big, here anyways there are lots of welding positions
