Williams Grand Prix (Williams, 1976) Game Play

Just picked up a 1976 Williams Grand Prix pinball two days ago. I don't know if my issue is actually a problem or part of the normal game play. I need advice from other owners.

When I activate Star No. 1, I get double bonus for dishes/eject holes or ending a round correctly corresponding to the bonus, 5k through 50k.

When I activate Star No. 2 and above, I correctly get same player shoots again and extra ball lights, etc., but the when I activate the bonus by landing in a dish/eject hole or ending the round, I get 10k points whether the bonus was at 5k or 50k.

Is this normal or is the game acting funky?

Any help is appreciated!

This is correct. Excepting for the shoot again light, extraball should light (at star2) in the inlanes. I don't own this game, but I have played the game when it was out, and recreated it here.
1 Star - Double Bonus and 1000 at the spinners
2 Stars - Extraball lites in the inlanes
4 Stars - Special lights in the outlanes

My question is about double bonus. Shouldn't double-bonus continue for all star levels? It starts at #1 star and ends at #2 star. #2, 3 and 4 star give me a straight 10k regardless of the bonus level.

Yes, you should get 10k each time for bonus after 1. For all 4 levels.

Once I achieve #2 star or above, i only get 10k even if the table shows 50k. Make sense?

Shouldn't I continue to get double bonus with stars 2,3,&4?

What version of VP do I need to play your Grand Prix emulation? I keeps crashing VP on me.

I'm not sure how to set it, but my Grand Prix came with a variety of cards to place in the instructions slot that had different options for star 3/4. Possibly it could be adjusted? I'll dig through my stuff to see if I can find the cards.

It's possible for there to be an adjustment for it, but I'd side against it. But, then again, I haven't worked on one since I was a kid. The way they were adjusted then was to take the "fixture" off that holds all the pins, and move it one over. CAUTION- MAKE SURE THERE IS AN ADJUSTMENT FIRST!! Otherwise you are shorting things. There should be a label somewhere.
