I looked them up yesterday and found that they released an album in 2010, titled, "World Gone Crazy". I've never heard anything from it. I compiled and reshuffled the order of this playlist a little differently from that of the album itself, but that's just my ears. I listened to it several times now, and I am enjoying it.
Along with the return of Ted Templeman as Producer, there is a lot of the vintage Doobies sound here, some soft pop, and appearances by Michael McDonald and Willie Nelson.
There is only one song missing, "My Baby", but I don't think it's available at youtube.

sleepy;

I've never heard the album (really, a long time since I've just listened to anything), but the revised playing order seems to work fine. 'World Gone Crazy' was eating away, reminding me of something, and it came to me during my second play; 'Cousin Dupree' from Steely Dan's 'Two Against Nature' album (Christ---has it been 13-plus years already?). As I think more about it, though, the songs grow dissimilar (friggin' reality).....'World' is a bit faster, and 'Cousin' is built on a laid-back Chuck Berry lick. Oh, well.....:guitar::cheers:

I appreciate it GS. I posted it because it is one of the few album listens from a veteran band that didn't drag me down into the quagmire of aging dryness.

Really, the new songs from some old bands are tedious to listen to.

But you have to watch out for these guys, with their connections to Michael McDonald and his connections to Steely Dan. But disavowing connections to one of the great masters. Do you wonder if Chuck Berry knows about this connection?

Now I'm doing it. I'm hearing a faraway connection to Steely Dan's "Time Out of Mind" but it is more elaborate and even more laid back.

Nope, no Doobies for me. There's too much happening in Springsteenland to keep up with anything else! Bruce is now making all his concerts available online! It's been hard to keep it at just one show. I had to pick the one where he celebrated his arrival in Bon Scott's home town of Perth in amazing style! Better go see him when he comes to your neck of the woods, Steve!

Nah no boobie bro fan here, ya the boss is great though really and I listened to that rendition, he aint no Bon Scott. I can feel why he did it though acca dacca would never do streets of fire though they could have, enough said. ;)

As for him finally coming anywhere near here, sure, post me the tickets and I'll be there.

I think I have to take umbrage to that, Steve! Ah, what you gonna do? I am a bit of a Springsteen nut, so I admit I have a problem. But I'm also a big fan of Bon Scott AC/DC (yes, I'm one of "those people" that still calls Brian Johnson "that new guy" after some 30 years), and I'm pretty sure an AC/DC version of "Streets of Fire" would have been fucking great! I'm trying to think of a Bruce song that would really fit AC/DC. I could hear them doing a great version of "Pink Cadillac". No wait... "Ramrod"! Hell, it already sounds like an AC/DC song!

I can't say for covering The Boss, but the closest cover that I can find is this.
But AC/DC bent it up pretty good, ah young punks with their hormones ablaze, replacing the lyrics and half of the song for the artful urgency you understand.
And it is Not a perfect fit. I appreciate it.

~ which is a very, very loose ad-lib "cover" of this, but the verse line is "extremely solid":
