help no keys working on any pinball games

ive installed the roms and tables correctly in both visual pinball and pinmame and the tables load up fine but the problem is nothing happens no matter what buttons i press ive tryed 5 and enter and the shifts and very single key nothing happens help how do i play? if it makes a differnce my os is windows 7 but i figured it shudnt since the games load up fine with no error messges just none of they keys are working for any of the pinball games in visual pinball

What version of VP are you using? VP8 or VP9?

Does the score display say something like "FACTORY SETTINGS RESTORED"?
If so, then press the 7 key. Don't use the NUMPAD, only the keys at the top of the keyboard.

Then if nothing happens, press the F3 key. After reset, then press 5 for credits, and 1 for game(s).

Note that if you are trying to play a Gottlieb/Premier table or a Bally table, either company from the 1980's,. you probably need the GTS3 (Gottlieb/Premier) or the Bally6803 NVRAM files. Find them under downloads > Visual PinMAME > VPM Support Files and UNZIP them to the vpinmame\nvram folder. Then try the table. If Visual Pinball is open, close it, unzip the files to the vpinmame\nvram folder, then open Visual Pinball and try the table(s). This is only to ensure that VPinMAME has loaded the nvram when opening a table that needs the nvram file. If there is already nvram files for the tables, allow the download files to overwrite them when you unzip them to the folder. You can find the files here:

thanks guys i figured it out tho all i had to do was righ click on visial pinball and then click run as adminastrator and then it started working
