so it's a bar game? maybe that explains how i could spend so much time in 80's arcades and never have seen that sucker.

There were a few of these around L.A. at the Golfland/Malibu Grand Prix arcades in the 80's. I think it was more a case of prudery that omitted this game from sight.
For instance, if your arcade also refused to offer Bally's Tapper, or instead offered the "Root Beer" version, then they probably had issues with beer-themed games played by minors. Which is why I hate the "family-friendly" arcades.

Zeke's Peak to ICB is the Rootbeer to Tapper. That one should have shown up at arcades. They also were capable of dispensing tickets.

I read that it was common to get a free beer by beating the ICB game, if the bar owned it.
