I can't believe that I've neglected the opportunity to join the fine musicians who have posted their songs here over the years. This is a number from my band Blind Lemon Tupelo from our album Never Mind the Paprika, Here's Blind Lemon Tupelo. Actually, since we recorded only one song this is the album Never Mind the Paprika, Here's Blind Lemon Tupelo. The most impressive part of this recording for me was the fact that, from the time the harmonica cranks up, I had 40 seconds to decide what the hell I was going to sing. Yeah, I've heard better yowling out of cats in heat, too, but I did remember 90% of the words.

Pretty damn beautiful! BTW, what happened to the harmonica player?

Simplicity @WORK

Sometimes Less=more. Nice rhythm...I could dance to it:dance:

Thanks for the kind words, guys! Harp player Jon Mills had a dream of owning a rock'n'roll bar in Colorado. In 1993 he left Wichita to fulfill that dream... and no one's heard from him since. No Facebook, no Twitter... although I did manage to figure that he actually was in Colorado as late as 2000. He was one of those people who are maddening to the musically talentless, because he could pick up just about any instrument and play it.

i'm still gonna have to go with april stevens on this one.
then again, i crush mighty hard on her voice.

I was always partial to Inger Stevens. It's a shame how she went.

or maybe it's the drummer. tommy lee could play pretty much anything he wanted and it would still be a great concert:

btw bill was that at your current address or back in the plains? that sounds like a lot of fun.

That one was recorded a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... like about 1990 in Wichitucky. No cell phones, no wives or careers... just three guys young, drunk and dumb with a cool omnidirectional microphone that gives it that bad-ass Sun Sessions sound.

Tommy Lee's not even good enough to carry Keith Moon's drumsticks! You wanna see some drumming? Here's some drumming! I watch this video at least once a year when I need a reminder of just how great rock'n'roll can be on those rare occasions when it's done to perfection. There is the small chance that you may not agree with me, but that's okay... you're all forgiven.

see, i WANTED to be a offended by all that, ye little gobshite upon a feck, but at heart i'm still celtic... knaw-meme?

not to mention-- you sad, pitiful excuse for a de-dump-de-dumpt, WHO do you think it was delivered the celts their pomme-de-terres in the first place, eh...?

EDIT: i'm in belligerent mode for some reason. why is it that i do that upon friends of mine...?

Well, you can be as belligerent as you want, as long as you do the assigned homework and watch The Who video. What, you think I'm just fucking around here? I'm trying to teach a class! At the end of the course, which is now in its... let's see... 10th year, you'll all receive your doctorates in Useless Popular Culture. And you'll be able to legally perform wedding ceremonies.

You ain't kidding! I think that's what's most impressive about that video. How is all that mad flailing making such great sounds?
