Gottlieb Joker Poker (Gottlieb, 1978) High Score setting

Am trying to set the High Score option on the Solid State version of Gottlieb Joker Poker. Set the toggle switch to show the High Score, but since the pin is set on the "extra ball' option & not "replay" perhaps the High Score shouldn't show. Just checking, any know for sure? Thanks.

if i remember correctly the last 4 parts of the bookkeeping are for the 3 scores for credits and the last is for the high score to date. these settings can be changed in self test by pushing the reset button on the control board, and using the replay button to advance the score by 1000's. im not sure if the extra ball setting will not allow high score to date to show up. have you tried changing the switch setting from extra ball to credit? sometimes the DIP switch pack or its connections go bad. it looks like radio shack has them part# 275-1301.
