KINECT not working with BAM 1.5-345

I just upgrade BAM to 1.5-345 and lost the 3D POV that KINECT V2 add-on was working flawlessly before upgrading. I am running a AMD 6600xt GPU, I can see telemetry in the BAM menu showing the KINECT is tracking my head. Has any one else had this issue? And what was done to fix it?

I want to add that BAM is the Greatest application in Video Pinball, to create head tracking is wonderful! and amazing!!, and then just read about Terry Red addition of improved physics to rival VPX, AWSOME!!!! THANK YOU AND KEEP UP THE HARD WORK !!!

Try upgrading to newest BAM version: v.1.5-351 here...

I added the BAM-Open VR(fixed) files and over wrote all the files in the V1.5-351 folder, no fix.

To be clear, I only suggested for you to update your BAM to version BAM 1.5-351 because the name of your topic says you installed BAM 1.5-345.

I have reinstalled strait from Ravarcade the FP and BAM 2 in 1 file, Then installed latest update BAM 1.5-351,... NO FIX...

Next I plan to install all the Terry Red BAM Settings and Files, If this doesn't work, I will reimagined my drive to before this update and When it works, and move each file over one by one untill I can isolate the file that is not updating the POV with face tracking of the Kinect data.

Sorry I have never used Kinect and don't know anything about it. I think @TerryRed has used it in the past but I don't think he uses it very much anymore.

When updating BAM, you should always backup your entire BAM folder first. Then you have your old files to use if needed.

My BAM cabinet settings are intended for a normal cabinet setup, which uses Static CAM in BAM settings

Kinect doesn't use Static CAM. Cycle through the different modes until you are on the correct one.

I've only tried Kinect V2 in the past, and that was years ago, but I did a fresh install of FP and BAM and got it to work right away.... but had to adjust settings manually to get it to look right, as its different than a normal static cabinet view.

Thank you for the reply Terry, Everything you are describing is exactly on cue when I set up Kinect with the earlier version and has worked great. Based on your feedback I will reload the backup image and just go thru a fresh update and backup files of what is working. More info and updates to follow in a few hours.

O.K. Good news, I backup and fresh installed FP and BAM, Updated BAM, everything works, lost all my table settings, I will have to figure out which file to bring back from the backup to restore all my settings.

The root cause appears to be the vendor that is supplying me updates has given me a bug in the update software.

Table settings should be the .cfg file in fpInstallFolder\BAM\cfg

We have some of the best FP and BAM people in the community here at this site (I think they are the best out there, but I am bias), who always strive to help those with problems that may arise.

Thank you all, I have learned so much today and feel so much more in command of FP when it comes to config issues. Once I have everything all set I will keep those 3 files as a backup..... just in case.
