Bally Kiss (Bally, 1979) light question

Hello,
Upon starting up my kiss pinball and prior to starting a new game, my playfield popper lights alternate their flashing (the left and right then the top and bottom), once the first game is over, these no longer alternate, all 4 flash at the same time. Apparently most or all of these machines do this (all i've seen on you tube at least). Does anyone know why this is or how to keep them alternating between all games?

Can not be done. It is the way the software was written. I checked the VPMAME version and it does the same thing.

Agree with the OP. It's always bugged me with mine as well.

I'm sure it could be altered if you had the means to alter the game rom. Look on youtube and you'll see a guy making custom game roms for early solid state Stern games. He changes the attract mode lighting and even game rules etc. Very cool.
