First time pinball owner here and I'm having a blast :) I picked up a Bally Mata Hari machine VERY cheap as a winter project and I just can't wait for the snow to fly so I'm starting on it now. I'm doing a ton of reading and I'm not finding the answers I need so I'm throwing out a life line and I hope you guys can help. It appears that someone the didn't read alot before starting anything did manage to start one thing..... a fire on the rectifier board AS-2518-18. The solder job looks like it was done with a blow torch and the bridge rectifiers are being held in by glue and they soldered a jumper wire from the back to the circuit board trace that they didn't manage to burn up. I already ordered a new board a since the surge managed to get all the way up to the voltage regulator module AS-2518-22, I also ordered a new board there also. In going over the wiring, I noticed that they tied 1 and 3 together on the transformer and 9 and 11. from what I'm reading that should set it up for 115v. I was under the impression that the US was running at 120v so the ties should be on 1and 3 then 5 and 7. this is for an e-122-125 transformer. I have a computer background and know my wayh around a solder iron/gun so thats not a problem. I'm just a bit overwhelmed with the daunting task of getting power back to the machine so I can continue testing. I don't trust whoever worked on this machine before so I'm starting from scratch. After the voltage thing can someone tell me where to look for the connections to the other side of the transformer so I can make sure no one screwed those up "trying to fix it" I'm gonna have to go thru wire by wire from the wall outlet on up so I'm expecting to be on here alot.
