Got my new computer so I wanted to get the best video player I could find for it. First I tried VLC player and was not very impressed with it's rendering.
So I then tried the CCCP media codec package which includes Media Player Classic and found it to render vastly better. Still I felt there was room for improvement and I was right.
After some googling I came upon this guide..

Once I implemented the guide suggestions, I can say the results are truly worth it and would suggest you give it a try if your want the best video rendering possible.
