I used to have to use a piece of plastic tubing even then it loved to slip off
at the worst times, usually resulting in the bulb rolling into
a drop target hole or kicker somewhere real inaccessible!
Cool idea as long as you don't squeeze too hard!
My question though is, once it's loose it may still slip
sideways out of its grip. and what is that a quarter turn for each flick of your wrist?
That may be tedious, and if it's corroded or stuck in you still may
shatter it getting it out.
