Just as Sears did with Northwestern's Poosh M Up games, Montgomery Ward also sold private barand pin games, this one was probably made by Lindstrom, rather than Gottlieb, although it is similar to Gottlieb's Five Star Final. Westen Auto stores also sold pin games, although I don't know who made theirs.
I have reduced the number of pins in my version, which makes for better play, I think.I also have implimented variable speed launch, and have not added tilting. You'll find that as with most flipperless games, nudging makes for a much better game, but not always a higher score. Sounds, other than the Start and Information Window ones, are standard pin sounds.
While I bui;t Star Deluxe from the ground up, and made the pins from reduced sized walls, I have used the script from Druadic's Five Star Final, and the score decals, both with his kind permission. Since I did use more than just his script, I have included a scan of his letter giving me permission, which I'm also posting here.
