Need help for a T-Shirt

I need some help. My graphical skills, well who am I kidding, I have none.:)
I'd like to get a couple T-Shirts made for the Chicago Expo in a month or so (for my wife and I), and I need my image more high res. How high res I don't know.

What I'm looking for is for my logo to go across the width of the shirt, maybe 6 or 8 inches high (In proportion exact height doesn't matter). Maybe with the tagline "A Different Kind Of Pinball Site" along the bottom. All I need is the image itself, so we can get an iron-on transfer made or something cheap like that. These are one of a kinds, not for sale.

my drawing skills leave much to be desired
but I can cut and paste with the best of them!
I also have your old blue design that you used in a few of your pins
give me a few days to see what I can come up with
and I'll post my stuff...

Thanks. I think we're going to do something like this, but the image is too small, and not hi res enough is the main problem. I was told I need something like 300 dpi, but I don't even know how/where to set that. I can do some things in Gimp/PS, but I don't know what's the best tools for the job, and where they even are. That's why my skills stink.
